FAQs
Do you provide rental items, like tables and chairs?
We can provide tables for buffets only, but we are happy to help coordinate third party rentals.
Do you teach classes?
We don’t offer cooking classes, but are happy to offer interactive cooking events!
For example: we recently catered a sushi party where we prepped all the ingredients, and guests were able to roll their own sushi. Then we sliced and served the pieces for a top-notch experience.
Can you accommodate special diets?
Yes, we have extensive knowledge in food allergies and dietary restrictions, so just tell us well in advance and we’re happy to accommodate!
Do you have a minimum?
For on-site catering and dinner parties, the minimum is $1000. This does not apply to personal chef meals or drop-off catering without service.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, we require a 50% non refundable deposit for events.
Do you travel?
Yes! We’re happy to cater events up to 100 miles away for a small fee (ask us when we connect!). We can travel to Hocking Hills, Logan County, and the surrounding Columbus and Cincinnati areas.
Do you provide alcohol?
No, but we provide custom cocktails that we can mix with the alcohol you provide! (This includes mixers, garnishes, cups, ice)
Do you cater weddings?
Yes! We specialize in smaller weddings for foodie couples. If you need a large wedding catered with standard offerings, then we aren’t the best fit.
What sustainability practices do you follow?
We compost food waste, shop locally as much as possible (with reusable shopping bags!), and we prioritize compostable disposables.
What’s the difference between Personal Chef and Private Chef?
Great question! 👩🍳 A Personal Chef (that's me!) creates custom weekly meals for multiple clients, handling everything from shopping to cleanup. A Private Chef, on the other hand, works exclusively for just one family or business - they're basically on your payroll full-time. With me as your Personal Chef, you get all the delicious perks without the commitment!
How do I book?
Just tap one of the “book a call” links on the website (there’s one below!) and we’ll set up a time to chat. On that call, we’ll talk through your vision for your event, then explain how the process works and if it’s a fit, we’ll take it from there!
I have a quick question, can I email you?
Sure thing! You can email us at info@butterleafcatering.com
